I have a young friend looking to add rod building as a new hobby , before he starts spending money I thought he might try to locate someone locally he might spend some time with .
? Do we have any rod builders in the Canastota New York area that might be willing to let my friend spend a few sessions while you put a few rods together Thank you John Duncan Re: Canastota New York

I know there are a couple of builders that do those types of builds in the Verona to Syracuse area. I've run into them at shows, but I cannot remember their names. I'd call a few of the conventional tackle shops in the area, they should be able to help, they'll know who does builds and repairs on the spin and casting stuff.
I'm a bit east of Canastota, about 100 miles, and I only do fly rod builds. Re: Canastota New York

Good evening John,
I am not sure if I can help, but I would be willing to discuss via email. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
