Is a CRB 16 too small to fit a 4000’s feet?

I would think that seat would be too small for most adult hands, but if you want to go that small look at a size 17 which should accommodate a 4000 size reel just fine. Most of those are a tad longer than the 16. Keep mind that reel foot size does not necessarily increase as the reel itself gets larger. There is at least some standardization on reel foot sizing among casting and spinning reels.

I have used Stradic 4000's on size 16 seats, but don't recommend it. Too small in the hand for long term comfort. I find the difference between a 16 and 17 makes all the difference. My span between my thumb and pikie tips with hand spread out is 9 inches.
