Hi Guys Does anybody have some favorte colors for a black blank with fugi black guides. I am not very good at picking out colors. I would also like to try a dimond butt wrap and would need some contrasting colors for that to. My last black blank I used black thread with purple trim bands it looks good but the purple does not stand out unless you look close and I cannot figure out what color to use for the dimond wrap that would go with the black & purple.

Black wraps, gold inlays at both ends of foot, gold trim band. Black and gold simple diamond.

#50 Cobalt and in reg nylon with CP and narrow trims or inlays in NCP white!

Ive got a black and purple here that looks really nice. i made kind of a diamond chevron type deal and used black, purple and metallic silver. It looks really nice IMO, for a first attempt at a butt wrap that is. Im gonna try and scan some pics when it is all finished over and will post them on moment of fame. In the light the purple on the guides will stand out better, but it does take some closer looking.

check the colors that other rod buidlers have used on black rods. My wife likes Green and Orange and Pink with the purple and sometimes she uses a bright yellow as well she mixes those colors by random. Hope this helps. Bob
