Phil,
Thank you for your synopsis of Gen 4 thread finish. There have been quite a few people posting their pleasure with Gen 4 recently but I have yet to try it. With so many proponents, I guess I’ll have to give it a shot as well. As you, I have become very accustomed to ThreadMaster (light) and the FlexCoat offerings as well = I need to deplenish my stock of those first. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: Gen 4 epoxy

I have been using Gen 4 light build. Build a lot of UL rods. The Gen 4 for me maintains the perfect consistency as I work from the thin tip section to the butt, perfect potlife and very gradual kickoff. Re: Gen 4 epoxy

I’ve never had a major issue with any brand, but Gen4 seems to be the peak in performance that can be achieved by this type of finish product. I think it would take a completely new paradigm in finish technology, like perfected UV cures at a similar price point, to make for a better product. I can’t think of where I would wish for an improvement with Gen4 as it excels for me in every aspect that is relevant. Mark has it right, though. I wouldn’t throw away a competitive finish that works to make an instant switch to Gen4. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
