Older AmTak Matrix green blanks vs current blanks

Are the older AmTak Matrix green blanks the same as the current Matrix black blanks, or was the design upgraded when the blank color changed? The current line up only offers the 7-wt in a two-piece, but I have access to a 3-piece green 7-wt blank, which I am guessing is 10 or so years old. Thoughts?

Ask AmTak. What you would get from us would be just opinions. AmTak knows.

Like Michael I'm not expert, but there was a time, a year, or better, we could pick which color we wanted.

David, I'm not sure what your concern is here, the older blanks were just fine to my knowledge. Paint can be removed if you wish.

Not really concerned, I am just wondering if the older green Matrix blanks are basically the same as the current models. Old 7wt is also 3-piece. Only 7-wt now is 2-piece. The color is not my concern, but the design underneath. thanks.

Looking on the website the 8 ft. 4 wt. has the same exact dimensions and weight as my 2010 model.

American Tackle had both the Green and the Black blanks concurrently several years ago. The specs were the same. Contact Don Morse at American Tackle, he may have a line on who has some Green Matrix blanks, and can asnswer many of your questions.
