Elliott Evolution ES44L-F

I was playing with the Elliott Evolution ES44L-F rod at the ice show and want to make one for myself. It is a 44” solid carbon fiber blank, fast action. Elliott doesn’t sell their hard water blanks and was wondering what might match up to this rod? I am having trouble finding something that might work. I understand I may have to do some shaping on the lathe to get the right action.

The only solid carbon blank I am finding around that length is a 48” one from Bass Khang. But they are out of stock. Bummer. I want to make one before my fishing trip. I better keep searching.

Might look at these. Also NFC sells ice blanks as well.

Thank you for the reply but none of those are over 36”. I am looking for something in the 44” to 48” range in solid carbon fiber.
NFC doesn’t offer a solid carbon fiber blank that I can find.

I thought this would show up when I copied the ice blanks. I remember seeing a couple days ago when shopping.

After doing some research I feel these blanks are too light. Does anyone know of a solid carbon fiber blank around 48”? I am willing to spend some time shaping it on the lathe and trimming it to get the right action.

This 50” medium heavy solid carbon blank might be an option. Was looking for a fast action but might be able to sand it in a way to get the mod-fast MH action into a fast light.

Basskang 48” lake trout carbon might also work if it was in stock.

I guess I don't see the problem, those ice blanks from NFC look like you could tie them in knots. They make a 40 inch heavy/fast action, 8 to 17 lb line blank that I would think would be easier to extend than having to sand and possibly screw up another blank. For the price they want, 50% off, you'll be hard pressed to buy seconds, let alone first quality US blanks.
