Replacement mid section

I have a few NFC Hm blanks, I broke one and I want to use the midsection of the other blanks I have. What should be the ferrule measurements. I measured with the new one it seems to go a quarter inch more than the broken one. Is that ok. Cause it's a mid section I have to account for tip and butt. I have 2 3/4 for the butt and 2 1/4 for the tip. That's the amount that goes in. Thanks in Advance

If ferrule s fit with out "knocks" - then 1/4" (+) or (-) is no issue at all.

sounds like a pretty good fit, if the taper isn't markedly different.

Ferrule fit is only one problem you may have with this type section replacement.

Fits really good not sure what you mean, the original I am thinking that is why it broke in that area. It was only in 1.25 inch's. It broke around there, I have three Hm blanks, they all were 2.5 inch.

If the mid section you are using has a different stiffness or flex profile than the original, you may find it creates a stress riser at either ferrule area.

If it's the same blank it can be different stiffness. Same model

If it's the same blank model then you should be OK.
