Do they even exist anymore? I've called several times a day, left emails, facebook messages, posts on their site and voice mails. Unable to get any response for near 2 months. Their website has fewer and fewer products in stock. Anyone had luck getting in touch?

I'm not sure. Alot of their blanks are difficult to track down. My favorite 9' was a lamiglass they stopped making. I've got two of them left.

Supplies are harder to get and like the other companies they make more money making rods than they do selling blanks. There was a big spike in prices for supplies, around the first of July and if you haven't noticed the truckers are getting real testy, it could get worse before it gets better. It sure would help if materials weren't needed for other purposes right now.

I might have to bite the bullet and drive up there when they are open on Wednesdays.

I've tried as well. I really wanted to be able to sell some of their surf rods but they won't even give me the time of day. They were high on my list that I wanted to sell for too, so I'm pretty bummed. They could at least tell me to get lost. I don't get any responses form Pac-Bay either. Keep us posted on your findings!

I just had a negative experience with Lamiglas that is very telling. I bought a built Halibut rod in late May from them. I was very short on time between work, family events, and getting ready to go to Alaska for an extended fishing trip. The Halibut rod was the one I least cared about building myself. The rod came with two guides extremely mis-aligned. I called them and emailed them for days. Finally, I gave up and fixed the issue myself. I got a call two months after and was told they couldn’t help me if I already had worked on the rod. I mentioned that I had run out of time waiting for their response. Then, I was told that they had a volume of customer service issues that was overwhelming. As I conversed with the person it became very clear, and was admitted, that they are in a full crisis mode with an overload of quality and breakage related issues. I didn’t even bring up breakage as that wasn’t my problem.

I can’t imagine they get through whatever they have done to create this mess. I’ve got rods from the 1980’s they built that are still great. I now have to consistently tell people they are very old and built before issues started. In the mid 90’s their reputation in the PNW got soiled badly from “breakage”. It seems to have never quite recovered and lately a deeper downward spiral is the buzz in this region. It is sad in that the Posey family and this company built such an amazing legacy and has a prominent place in the history of rod building.

I got back into building a couple years ago. Been out about twenty years or so. Right about the time G Loomis blanks became unavailable. Loomis and more so Lamiglas were my go to blanks. Lamiglas did not offer as many models that fit my needs as Loomis. Lamiglas builds are still going strong for me and are among my favorite rods.

Anyways when I got back into things I immediately thought of Lamiglas for my blanks. Was greatly disappointed to see their product line had got even smaller was almost unavailable across the board and that they now had a not so good reputation.

Been trying various blank manufacturers. Have not really had any issues. But sure miss having my old favorite brands that I had total confidence in. Never would of thought of any other brands outside of Loomis Lamiglas and St Croix in the past. Now none of them are an option.

I built on an NFC HM Steelhead blank. Great blank and despite the customer service woes, at least they picked up the phone. Don't know what is going on with Lami, but it sounds like they are operating on a super conservative budget.
