Been trying to find a green aluminum check dark green not the lime like green you can get. Thought of painting but wanted something easier. Gave it some thought and decided to use the powdercoat for jigheads. Tried several ways it is a no go. Stuff just don't stick worth a darn. Even tried it on some plain aluminum stock and while it stuck a little better still was easy to flake off. Nothing like the adhesion you get with a lead jig head. Looking like I will be sticking with black checks.

I paint aluminum winding checks all the time. Get a can of acrylic enamel spray paint in the color of your choice. Not sure why you would use a powder coat for jig heads. Testers paints also works well. When you epoxy over the wraps next to the winding check coat the painted check also. Make a nice clean line where it goes on the grip or reel seat, you can use painter's tape if you don't have a steady hand. I always coat the aluminum winding checks with epoxy because I make rods for saltwater and I don't have to worry about corrosion issues. You can also paint plastic winding checks.

I had the powder paint on hand in colors that I liked. Less mess than traditional paint. Was easy enough to try.
