Marbleizing buttwrap between threadwraps

So I'd like to do a marbleized butt wrap, but put it between thread wraps. For simplicity sake an example would be a 3/4 inch thread wrap followed by a 3 inch marbleized wrap followed by another 3/4 thread wrap. Should I tape off the area on either side of the marbleized wrap, lay down my marbleizing and then pull the tape when it starts to set? Then go back, do my wraps, epoxy those and the marbleizing all at the same time? Or would it be possible to run the two thread wraps, epoxy those and then do the marbleizing and then go back over the whole thing with clear epoxy? Or lay down the thread wraps without epoxy, then do the marbleizing in between and just be careful not to get any on the thread? Then epoxy the whole thing. The first one I mentioned seems like it would be the easiest.

If the wraps are tight against the grips you could marble the whole area and add wraps once dried. Then finish your wraps.

Best way is the marble the entire area as Aaron mentions - just keep the epoxy light as you get to either end. Then add your trim wraps over the ends once dry.

After you add the trim wraps, do you epoxy over just the trim wraps, or over the wraps and the full marbling section?

Unless I have added a label or something that needs finished over I would only finish over the trim wraps.
