CTS Affinity MX Nymphing Build

As promised, following up on performance of my new nymphing build after finally getting on the water with it. The rod is built on an 11' 3wt CTS Affinity MX, with 12 guides (not including tip top). For guides I used one size 8 Fuji KW (titanium SiC), one size 2 lite wire REC recoil single foot, and 10 size 1 REC recoil single foots. While I haven't hooked any huge trout on it yet, I had no trouble turning a particularly feisty 17" rainbow in high flows. Seems like it has plenty of backbone for fighting big fish (I hope to prove this soon), and the tip is light enough to easily cast the mono rig I typically use while nymphing. Overall, I'm very pleased with my choice. It's got the more moderate action I was looking for while providing crisp quick hook sets, and enough backbone to bully smaller fish and handle the big ones.
