I have an NFC- OG ICFA130 blank. The butt section OD is 25.15mm and my EVA grip ID is 19.05mm. Can you ream EVA like cork? Or do need a larger ID on the eva? The EVA wall thickness is approx. 5mm Re: EVA grip help

You should be able to ream the I.D. up to the dimensions you need. Maybe run a drill through it first but be careful as they will tear up the EVA pretty easy if you are not careful Re: EVA grip help

Should have no problem lubing up the blank above the stop point of the grip with epoxy, spin the grip in the epoxy to smear it all inside the grip completely and in one quick continuous motion slip the grip into place. Adjust the length back out to what it was supposed to be by pulling back on the grip after gripping both ends if need be, clean up the excess and your done. Re: EVA grip help

Rick,
Especially with a 130lb rod, if the planned EVA is for the fore-grip, there are many (myself included) who consider it too soft after a long fight with a large fish; cork tape covered with X-flocked heat shrink tubing may be a much better bet. If the planned EVA is for the rear-grip, it will not withstand the abuse from a rod holder and will be extremely difficult to remove from the holder with a fish-on. Some type of “slick-butt” is a much better choice; even the cork tape/shrink tubing would be better. Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!!
