Hello,
I'm currently building a rod, and started with the reel seat. I'm inlaying elk ivory into a rosewood insert. Now I'm looking for wrapping thread that will match the cream in the ivory and as close as I can get to rosewood. Any suggestions? Thank you! Re: Thread to match rosewood and elk ivories

I would look at Pac Bay Tan. It leans to the whiteish side of tan especially the NCP version. Don't know what your particular ivories look like. Some are just an off white to light tan others have a lot of amber color to them. Can't think of any amber colored options. Fuji Garnet is about the closest to Rosewood anyone offers. Hi Taylor, I would recommend checking the Madeira thread (Poly Neon) selection. Without having the exact colors of the Elk ivory and rosewood I can't say for sure , but would be surprised if you couldn't find something very close to what you are looking for. Be advised that you will need to use C.P. on the thread if you end up using the Madeira. Good luck with your project.
