nylon and silk together?

I've got a blue halo blank in the color blue and I'm wondering how to match the lime green and blue acrylic reel seat. I was thinking blue wraps on the ferrules with chartruese bands covered with color preserver, but then I was wondering if I can use colorfast nylon but next two the blue silk thread. Bad idea? I'm thinking going color preserver route would be better as I've honestly never used nylon on a fly rod. Thoughts?

Unless you use colorfast thread, the chartreuse will bleed into the blue blank. Nylon will not go as clear as your silk, natural fiber vs synthetic, silk absorbs the finish much more readily.

The color fast NoCp thread stays opaque and will give a strong contrast against the blue silk. I see no problems using it.
