So, I'm trying to do a two-color weave of a logo for my brother. The logo requires long straight vertical lines. So, I put in two layers of thread on the rod; I would be using the blue first, so I made it the top layer.

How do I make the straight line on the goldenrod part without having the blue slip through? I did try to switch the gold and blue on the loom, so that the gold was on the top, but I found that doing that still had the gold threads slip down between the blue threads. Then, when I started to wrap with the gold part exposed, the blue threads still showed.

What can I do to make this look right?

I think you may have missed something on the start of your second letter. Looks like 8(?) turns back. If the second letter is purple, then those yelliows should all be still on the right. Carefully back up those last turns.

Brian, back up one wrap of the white, take all of the yellow back to the left, be sure you are putting each thread in the correct slot number in the left side loom, tighten up the blue threads and be sure they are in the correct slots in the right side loom, looks as thought they may have been crossed or returned to the wrong slot on your right hand loom. After everything is back in order take your yellow threads back to the right and continue your weave. Be sure not to cross a blue or yellow thread over the other when you take them to the left, the thread going to the left should butt cleanly against the wrapping thread. That should have you on the right track.

I do think there is one blue thread that might be wrapped around a yellow.

The bigger issue is how to make sure the other yellow threads are on top before I start the second letter. I just can't seem to get the yellow threads to butt cleanly against the wrapping thread.

With a lot of the threads, I can make the transition earlier, and I could see if that helps. But, in the middle, I only have two wrapping threads to work with.

I will keep trying to get it right.
