Blank Identification Help

Good afternoon,

I was wondering if you guys could help me identify a rod I recently inherited. It was made in Columbus, OH at Dame Juliana, probably back in the 90's. That shop has been gone now for going on 20 years.

Anyway, it is a 9'6" 2 piece, 5wt, black build. Other than the shops sticker the only identifiable marking is F 1145.

I know there is a loomis rod matching these specs labeled with FR1145. Do you guys think that's possible?

Thank you all for the help.

I'm not aware that G. Loomis ever painted any blanks deep, gloss black, although some of their GL3's were a matte black.

Typically F would identify a blank and FR a finished, factory rod.

Thanks Tom, that is helpful.
It is more matte than gloss.
Good to know on the F vs FR.

The "R" simply means you have a finished rod part number not a blank number. There is no mistaking a flat black matt GL3. Don't touch a GL3 with any kind of solvent, the finish will disappear.
