I have an old Penn saltwater rod I use for grouper digging. I've had it for 20+ years and want to put new guides on it, only this time I want to make it a spiral wrap. Currently it has the heavy recold guides on it and I'm not sure what to replace them with. Any suggestions or guideance is apprecaited. Re: Grouper rod refurb

Being a bass fisherman, I can't recommend guide types, other then I like American Tackle. But spiral wraps, I get excited. Please do yourself a favor and look up Kent's shares about the Cagey wrap. Other methods work but IMHO his is the best. Good Luck. P.S> I do eat Grouper, haha. Re: Grouper rod refurb
