Custom Decals?

I was originally looking at buying custom decals of a custom logo off of MudHole until I realized they charge an extra $30 fee for first purchase AND require a minimum order of 30 decals on first purchase as well, which would all end up coming out to almost $300 that I’m really not trying to spend. Anyone know a different website that I can buy good rod decals from with a custom logo that doesn’t require all the initial fees and minimum order numbers? Really don’t want to drop $300 bucks because of MudHole.

Ditto on Decal Connection. Might save some $$ if you can provide the image file of what you want so they don't have to spend time interpreting what you say you want into an image.

Yup , Decal Connection is the only place I even consider ordering decals because they have proven to me they do everything possible to not only provide you exactly what you want but help every step of the way even when you don't have a clue about font types and styles .

I told them I don't know the exact sizing and style but sent them a pic of what I wanted my decal to resemble and only needed to provide them with the diameter of the blank where I would be placing the decal . Well mere hours later they e mailed me back with what they came up with and it was perfect I couldn't have been more pleased .

It's a good idea to at least order two instead of just one because I have screwed up applying the first before so I always have that backup .

Make them yourself. I have been having great success with an inkjet printer and water slide paper.

If you wanna take this a step further, I recently learned how to make silver foil decals (or any foil color) that can be seen on a dark blank. Let me know if you want the technique. There is some equipment purchase involved. Less than $100.

Hello All.

There were several articles done on "Decals" none that I could find about buying decals while here are five about doing your own.

Volume/Issue/page.

1. 9-2-22 "The Art of Decaling" By Jimi Ellis this article is about installing decals (waterslide & peel & stick types).

2. 9-3-22 "Ink Jet Rod Labels" By Tom Kirkman this article has dealt mostly with the process of making & applying ink jet labels.

3. 12-1-10 "They're Electric!" By Bobby Feazel this article is pretty comprehensive (software, printer, print medium, metallic-gold & silver + holo, inks, foils, installation).

4. 12-1-16 "Electric Decal Tips & Tricks!" By Tom Kirkman this article is about "the finer points that can really help you bypass some trouble spots and really make your decals POP!".

5. 18-5-14 "Custom Rod Decals" By Pat Barnard this article is about "Make fingerprints and decal edges disappear with this quick and simple technique!".
