I am about to order another NEO and the MB 7108 before the sale ends. The NEO will be cut down to 6'10 and used for spinnerbait/blade bait and the 7108 will be a flipping stick.

I recently built a NEO and the butt diameter was too large to use my personal favorite seat so far which is an AT G2 Vibe with an insert. Since it was just for trying out I threw a traditional Fuji size 17 on it. I have not been able to find the G2s in a size 17 that would fit these larger diameter blanks. I cannot find a size 17 casting G2 or CCT on the American Tackle site or catalog. I ordered some carbontex soft touch grips and want to have a matching 1k/3k insert in the seat if possible. Does anyone know of a seat/insert combination that will fit these blanks? the butts are 0.589 and 0.66 respectively.

If there is not a solution I will likely use a Fuji split seat.

A 17 mm what? They come in different IDs.

Size 17 seats typically have larger ID inserts. Looking through the Alps and AT catalogues you will see. The only AT seat in 17 that takes an insert is a spinning seat and the ID of the insert would barely make the MB 765 but not the MB 7108.

Alps MVT Toray Trigger reel seat has an I.D. of 15.0 MM which is equivalent to .589
