I have seen a number of references to using LF to glue cork onto blanks. My question is, can you get the grip off again like you can with epoxy? Any other downsides? Re: Liquid Fusion

I have only glued cork rings with LF. it seems as if it penetrates into the cork when you put the rings under pressure and makes a strong bond with no little or no spill. I doubt you can get the grip off without destroying it once harden, but I am not 100% sure. I put a cork fighting butt in boiling water and boiled for 5 min. The LF joints did not slip and the boiling water did not have any effect on the joints. Edited 3 time(s). Last edit at 03/15/2021 09:18AM by Terje Bendiksby. Re: Liquid Fusion

I use that for a final coat on homemade poppers and jigs. I never thought of using it for rod building. Interesting. Re: Liquid Fusion

I don't think 5 MIN. is sufficient time to get the heat into the joints where the L.F. was applied could be wrong BUT not as I see it William Sidney AK Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/15/2021 02:19PM by Bill Sidney. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
