April 1, 2021 will mark the beginning of Fuji’s ULTRA Poly™ Thread being warehoused, distributed and marketed from a US base, according to a company spokesman. The product will continue to be manufactured in Japan from the same source.

Anglers Resource®, the exclusive North American distributor of Fuji® Rod Components, will assume management responsibility for the product line. This is good news. I really like Ultra Poly. I do have one suggestion. I’d like to see more color matches between the metallics and the standard thread line. I like to do a reversal pattern when using under-wraps where having the same color for both thread types is key. The ice blue metallic is nice, so a poly thread in the same color would be great.
