I have a push pole that the finish has worn off and I have black hands for days. My buddy and I were wondering if one of the flexable epoxies reduced down and sprayed on in a couple of fine coats would work? What are your thoughts

David,
If the PG is compatible and does not react adversely with what is left on you push pole, I certainly agree with Tom; easy, quick curing, reasonably priced, quite durable and no spray gun clean-up.

when I was in the military [ long time ago ] they had A tape, we called F4 tape , [ vulcanizing rubber tape ] once applied water prof , as I know , would that work ?? just a question ??
cost ?? I know it is on the open market , some different colors not a lot , red or black , an it would be soft on your hands also ?
PS the big 5 & 10 store on the web carries it , that begins with "" A """good luck .

Take the pole to a "sand blaster and powder coating facility" and have the pole powder coated. Tough and long lasting finish.

Now I have to figure out how to keep a 22' push pole turning while it drys. Will let you know how it turns out. Might be a week or two. Thanks for the input.

Permagloss cures very quickly. For a fishing rod blank I wipe on a thin coat and then stand it against the wall. You can recoat in 30 min to an hour. A thin coat will not sag. Once cured it is very hard, flexible, durable, and will never yellow. You can wipe it on using something like a cheese cloth pad or another type of lint free applicator like coffee filters, or a foam paint brush. If you miss a spot the next coat will get it. All most fool proof.
