This post is aimed at the companies that sponsor this forum, and those that advertise in RodMaker. There is a company emailing rod building component manufacturers and suppliers offering to sell the "attendee list" from the International Custom Rod Building Exposition." This is a scam.

There is no "attendee list" for the Expo as it is an open to the public event and no registration is required. The only list would be the door prize registration list and I have never sold, loaned nor made it available to anyone. Again, there is no "attendee list" for the Expo.

So buyer beware. They may indeed send you a list, but it won't be one that has anything to do with the Expo. Most likely just random names and addresses pulled from any variety of random mailing lists.

And to think I paid them $500 for the list. Kidding....aside, interesting that someone is pulling this scam. I'm sure your sponsors appreciate this warning.
