Hey guys, building my first spinning rods and have already ordered the appropriate Fuji guides to do a full KR-Concept layout. I was having a heck of a time finding the rights guides in stock (thank you COVID). It got me thinking though, the KR-Concept seems to have been launched around late 2012. Have other companies released similar small ring high frame guides that work with the concept as well?
I found a few models that from the pictures seem to have the right shape, but I cant always find dimensions on the guides. Anyone do KR-concept layouts with any of these or any other guides? -CRB YG -CRB LZR YR -PacBay Model M -PacBay ZV or DV -AmTackle TS-H Anyone found alternate guides that sub in well? Thanks! Have you looked into the American Tackle MicroWave set up? For spinning reels it's the cats meow. Re: Alternate Guides for KR Concept?

There are always copycats, but why go there when Anglersresource.org has easy peasy software, which works great, and their dealers have options on finish and ring materials unmatched by the others? Re: Alternate Guides for KR Concept?

Only reason "I'd go there" is I'm having a hard time finding anyone with Fuji's in stock. The one name I'd consider is SeaGuide. Maybe Kigan. Russ in Hollywood, FL. Re: Alternate Guides for KR Concept?

I've used Seaguide with good results. What are you looking for in the KR? I may be able to help you fill in the gaps. Re: Alternate Guides for KR Concept?

Michael & Norm,
I agree and did order the recommended guides (although the recommendations I find find here and got directly from Jim differed from what the calculator told me.) I was asking because I was having a hard time finding all the guides in stock for the full guide train. I'd check one day and the belly guide would be out of stock, check a few days later and the belly would be listed as in stock and the tip-top out of stock, a few days later it was the running guide, etc. etc. I finally gave up and ordered in a different finish that was all in stock at the time. Russell/Mark, Thanks for the recommendations. I'll look into SeaGuide & Kigan. Do you know which guides would replace the KL20H, KL10H, KL5.5M KR-Concept group? Trevor, I was looking at Mudhole since I needed other items from them as well. I was looking for the a full Matt Gray Corrosion Control guide train, ended up with corrosion control silver instead. They are for personal rods so not a huge deal, but I would have preferred gray. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/08/2021 12:51PM by Josh Coburn. Re: Alternate Guides for KR Concept?
