Has anybody ever used Permaglos or Epoxy over woven carbon fiber grips and how did like it and how did it feel to fish.

PermaGloss is the preferred medium for coating such grips. It's thinner, lighter and tougher than epoxy. It also improves the tactile feel and grip over a non-finished grip.

Tom, on the grips that have a lot of texture, like the ones from NFC......should I be using several coats of PermaGloss......or a coat of laminating epoxy first sanded back.....or perhaps sanding the grip first?

PermaGloss is much too thin to function as a sealer or filler. What I have done is use standard System 3 epoxy (any similar will work) as a filler and then sand down to smooth, and then a final with PG. Much quicker and more effective.
