Additional coats of finish

I know this has probably been answered before, but I could not find an exact answer in the search. I have applied a couple of coats of finish to a gold leaf dragon-scale pattern, and I had to go out of town unexpectedly for a week. Now that I am back, this could use one more coat to level out and look correct. Will there be any bonding issues with this much time in between coats. I am using Gen4 lite. Thanks in advance.

In a single week, not extremely likely to be any problems with bonding of the epoxy to the previous applications. Do NOT wipe what you have now with a solvent in an ill-fated attempt to clean anything.

I asked a similar question last week. I applied another coat last weekend after almost 3 months. No issues. I was using the standard gen4.

Has anyone tried appling a coat of CP on an old epoxy coat, before applying a new coat of epoxy?

Ben,
I am sure that folks have done this. But, what is the point in doing it?

Take care

maybe it will seal any conamination or maybe eliminate the need to roughen the surface for better adhesioon..epoxy seems to stick well to CP..
