Advise on microwave guides for a new rod build

I'd be grateful of some advise regarding microwave guides on a rod I'm about to build.
The rod will be used on small ponds to catch carp between 4-15lbs.
I will be free lining very light baits that weight roughly 1g, using a fixed spool reel and lightish braid.
Casting distance is very important, as I'll only have 1g on the line.
I'm considering the American Tackle Microwave guide system.
The rod blank is a: 10' Bloke XL50 Toray, 5wt, 4pc.
Can anyone please advise which of the Microwave guide systems would work best for my needs, how many extra guides will I need to compensate for the 10' length, and advise on spacing/placement?
This will be my first rod build.
Thanks
Dave

Edited to change reel type.

A 15 pound carp on a 5 weight fly blank? I'm curious. Why put a casting reel loaded with braid on a 5 weight fly rod to cast a 1 g lure? Why not use the Bloke blank for what it is intended to be so that casting a 1 g lure ought not be an issue.

ATC markets their MW18 as a casting and fly stripping guide and I've used them on a 6 and a 10 weight fly rod. The MW18 works OK on a 6 weight and really shines on a 10 where it eliminates a second stripping guide. Have never used a full set of MW system guides on a fly rod blank.

Thanks for your reply.
I'm using a fly blank for this build as it was recommended as a good option for what I need.
The waters I'll be fishing are not suited to fly fishing.
The majority of the fish I'll catch on it will be in the 4-8lbs range, but there are rare possibilities to land 15lbs.
I've just looked at the MW18 and they look a bit heavy for what I'm after.
The rod will be a light weight freelance stalker for small carp.

The microwave guide system comes as standard with 9 guides aimed at a 7' rod build.
I'm wondering how many guides I need for my 10' build, and spacing/positioning.
Also, which of the Microwave guide systems would be most suitable for this project.

Good afternoon Dave,

I would look at either the MW12 or MW18.... the 18 will give you a little larger running guides but it does not sound like you need those.

As far as spacing and extra guides goes, that is impossible to tell until you start laying it out.

The set comes with 9 total guides.. I would get 6 extra runners just on case you need them

Let me know if you have any other questions.

Thank you for your advise.
I’ve just realised I wrote I’d be using a casting reel, I meant fixed spool reel sorry.
I think that info changes the type of guide you would recommend.

Fixed spool I assume is what we call a spinning reel. Just use the 20mm spinning model 11 or 12 guides is what I'd buy. Spacing is up to the blank I wouldn't put anymore than necessary on such a light blank.

Thank you.
Yes, spinning reel.
I’ll look into the 20mm set.

Look at the new MW25 set... I think it will be exactly what you are needing.

When you buy the extra running guides though get the smaller 5mm ones for the MW20

Thank you,
I’m going to look into the 20 & 25 options.
Shame I can’t find anything here in the UK.
