Been awhile since I've done a butt wrap on a large (this one is a 13', 3-6 oz) saltwater blank. I usually wrap in A thread to keep the guide section light. Looking (make that "attempting") to wrap Clemens Custom Rod Thread Art number 54-A or 55 ( Four Arrows by Bob Dietz).
Appreciate any assistance, Thanks Ron B. Re: Thread Size for butt wrap on 22mm blank

Blank size has little to do with the size of guide wrap thread.
Normally, on heavier salf water blanks - many use size c or d thread, but A thread will work just fine. However, if you are building a rod that will be used on a head boat where the rod often rests on a rod rail, the use of larger thread and an underwrap helps to protect the rod from boat rail abuse. Roger,
Thanks. This will be strictly for 3-6 oz bait fishing. The rod will be staked. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
