Which Seaguide running guide is equivalent to the Fuji KT5 and KB5? Is KB5 or KT5 = 5mm in height? I plan to use it on my 7 ft casting rod.

The SeaGuide XOG-N and XOG-W are the Fuji KT and KB equivalents, respectively. The size 5 refers to the outside diameter of the ceramic ring in mm, not the height of the guide.

My question is why would you even consider using Sea Guide?? With the level of quality found in guides made by Fuji and A/T it's a no brainer to fly with the big boys. There is hardly any price difference to do so. With a very large portion of my business being rod repairs I have never once had a rod brought to me with Sea Guides on it. And I agree with Jim similar not equal.

I would wager Seaguide made more guides than every factor with exception of Fuji. I would also wager we made more guides last month than A/T sourced last year.

If you don't know anything about our guides why would you comment?

St.Croix, G. Loomis, Edge, Lamiglas, Orvis, Winston, Scott Fly, etc are our partners.

Brand loyalty is great until you get poked in the eye. How many times have you placed an order to restock your guide bins and be told that guide has been discontinued by the manufacture and your stuck with dead stock.There's rods coming in the door that still have those guides but if you don't have the one it needs what do you do ask the person if he'll accept a substitute.

I would say that never in all your years of rod repair never having a rod brought in with a broken Seaguide guide, says something right there in itself. Sure makes me want to take a closer look at their products.

How many guides do you plan to put on that little thing? Seven inches is a short casting rod where I fish.

My bad, I meant 7 ft rod.
