Like provenance of father's Bronson bamboo flyrod, model 330-9

Curious about the provenance of my father's old Bronson bamboo rod, 9', 3 sections, model 330-9. It is in bad shape but is
it worth refurbishing? I suppose sentimental value only. Tip section has lost male ferrule, other two ferrules rusty, but still
work. Wonder what color wraps it had originally ? Blank needs old varnish taken off, various mid-wraps (to hold it together
I suppose when glues not as good as now). I think the rod dates from before WW II or right after. Anyone help?

Thanks for anyone's help,

Sam Slack

I can't help with anything you are looking for but that sounds like an awesome project!

One guy who is on this site who is pretty knowledgeable about fly rods is Herb Ladenheim.

He might be a guy who can help you out.

Tony,
Thank you for that vote of confidence - but I don't deserve it regarding bamboo fly rods.
That is a craft that I know very little about.
Sam - I am sure that a simple Google search will put you in touch with people qualified to render advice.

Good luck,

Your rod is novel but has little monetary value, even in excellent condition. In useable shape maybe$100.

Thanks Herb and Tony..... Tom this rod is not about money... but sentimental value of something my father fished for years. I want to honor that.

But does anyone know if "The Classic Fly Rod Forum" still exists?
