Guide feet

Is there a way to not have the guide feet show through the wrap when not using color preserver on a medium light thread? I was using a medium blue color nylon thread and I didn’t like the results of seeing the guide foot. I applied flex count color preserver and this solved the issue, but am not a fan of using it.
Thanks
Dave

Nylon thread without CP will turn somewhat transparent, it is unavoidable. One might try coloring the guide feet with something near the thread color to keep it from showing.

Make the feet the same color as the thread , I tried it one time, a big P.I.T.A.. I could not get the match I wanted , good luck

Use color fast instead of nylon.

Try a thicker thread such B or D, and pack tight.

Does not coloring the feet introduce the possibility of having contaminants affect the epoxy? Or bleeding of the color? I just don't worry about seeing the feet. One can only see them with the rod in the hand looking directly at them.

What Mark and/or Norm said above!

You can also try to wrap the feet with A size thread, and then re-wrap over the top of that. Sometimes, it works pretty well!

Try and match the feet to the blank color.
