Thread for Brown Lamiglas Blank

Now that salmon season is over, I have a factory XCC 934 in translucent/root beer brown that I need to repair. Does anyone know a good match for the Lamiglas factory brown thread?

Thanks.

Check with Lamiglas, they will likely tell you what it is.

Jordan,
I don't think there ever was a XCC 934 in brown, all the ones I've been around since 2011 when they came out have been black, including all the glass XCF series that came before, some were also made in 2011. The brown blanks were the Certified Pro graphite rods and the Classic Glass rods. None were 9 ft 3 in though.

Jordan, misspoke sorry, I was reminded by a friend that in 2013 the blanks came back after missing for a while and they were a translucent bronze, I don't have that catalog.

I had to repair one for a friend and used yellow thread,no CP and it came out damn near perfect! The yellow blended in with the blank to make a brown wrap.

I would do a tester however to make sure.

Phil: that is great idea. I'll shoot them an email. I probably should have done that first.

Spencer: Yes sir, you even guessed the year of the rod. I've got a couple brown 934s and couple black 802s. Personally, I kind of like brown blanks. It is kind of old school and classy...

Robert: Thanks for the interesting idea. I would not have guessed yellow. Do you know happen to know what brand of thread you used? I imagine most brands will behave as you described.

Thanks everyone.
