I use denatured alcohol with real bushes. Have been very pleased with the results. I'm an amateur but the difference has been dramatic over the first couple I did with disposable.

David,
The structural composite industry has relied and utilized acetone for decades as a clean-up solvent for epoxies. I have used it for years and will continue to do so. At $15-20/gallon, it costs a fraction of what “specialized” solvents cost. It would not surprise me to learn most “brush cleaners” are predominately acetone. While any chemical needs to be treated with care, consider that regular household fingernail polish remover is basically acetone. It is a no-brainer to me.

There is no acetone in the U40 Brush Cleaner product.

The U40 cleaner is made to simply set the brush in until next use. There is nothing to "clean." It won't evaporate at a rapid rate so even a very small container will last weeks if not months before it disappears.

Wipe the brush off with a paper towel to remove any excess finish. Pour maybe an ounce of the Brush Cleaner into a small plastic cup. Set the brush into that and go on about your business. Next time you need to use it, just pull it out, wipe off with a paper towel, and go to work. Unless you don't plan to use the brush again for perhaps a month or more, you can just leave it in the cleaner until such time as you need it again.

I'm a fan of using Denatured Alcohol

Fishing is not a matter of life or death, it's much more important than that
