Anyone use the REC CSG CERecoil guide as a fresh water fly stripper? Re: REC CSG stripper guide

IMO- doesn't matter fresh or salt.
I use then a lot on all fly rods now. Inside diameter actually a little larger than Torzite - at least on the one that I measured. They are neat. Herb CTS Rep Re: REC CSG stripper guide

Say Herb,
Are they lighter than the comparable Fuji KW Ti framed guide? Thanks, Lance Re: REC CSG stripper guide

Lance
I won't be home to weigh for 3 weeks - fishing in RI. But my guess is that they are quite a bit lighter because the frame is very sparse Herb Re: REC CSG stripper guide

It would be a simple matter to take a guide and weigh it on a scale. That would provide certainty at the expense of further speculation, but might cause unemployment among writers of advertising copy for rod-building components. Edited 1 time(s).
