For cross wraps? I'd look at the Clemens book or the one from Billy Vivona. For weaves I'd go with Jim Upton's book.

You can find tons of videos on YouTube on cross wraps. Best thing you can do is get a bright 4’ light directly above your rod blank. The glare will draw a straight line on the blank for you. Re: Best pattern book

Clemens' books are hard to beat. I have done several wraps from Billy Vivona's book his explanation on laying out the wrap is easy to understand and the wraps really look good. Re: Best pattern book

I think Billy's instructions are easier to understand than those in the Clemens book.

I agree, Billy's book is hard to beat and is super easy to understand. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
