As soon as the first application is no longer soft or tacky enough to snag your brush, you can proceed with a second application. This is often anywhere from about 6 to 24 hours depending on the temperature where you're working. Because epoxy cures by chemical reaction, not the evaporation of a solvent, it's possible to add additional applications sooner than many realize.

I apply a 2nd coat - sooner than later - per To.
Since you a "laying" the finish on vs "painting" it on, the is little chance for the brush to stick to the tacky finish. It can happen though - just move the brush away from the wrap a frog's hair so the brush bristles don't contact the tacky finish. Applying while tacky, IMO, provides better adherence and less chance of fisheyes. Herb CTS Re: Finishing

With the room temperature at 72 degrees F, you can re-coat Flex coat in 6-8 hours. Expect a full cure in 24 hours. Flex Coat Company Professional Rod Building Supplies www.flexcoat.com Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
