I see some builders using a hosel from grip to rod . I think it looks good but haven't a clue how to do it . I checked you tube and couldn't find anything . Can I get some help on this ? TIA .

You buy them. Mudhole calls them "winding checks".

Compared to a standard winding check which is perhaps 1/8th of in thick - at its maximum thickness; a hosel is often 1/2 to 3/4 inch to essentially replace a fore grip.

If you like you can use suitable material and turn a hosel on a lathe. You can make it from virtually any material that you can turn on the lathe.

Take care
