G2 vs CFX grips

I have a Sage gear blank from the 90's still in its original shipping tube and am looking for a grip for it. I would like to build it for drift fishing and want the grips that will offer the most sensitivity (in theory). Assuming that a Light weight Carbon fiber grip is the best option, how do these 2 compare?

I'd build on the NFC/Edge grip, they are also on sale right now. NFC is to the left. Forgot to mention I had my 10 grips in my hands in 4 days.

Do you have pictures? Their website is not exactly informative on those things and I don't know what I will need for trim pieces or do I know what reel seat will work.

Your email is hidden. Grips fit all the single piece trigger reel seats we have used from 16 to 20 mm in size, they have the same OD as standard cork grips. Haven't any of the new reel seats around to compare, but they fit the other grips, I bet they are identical. The new Seaguides look like they may be different, maybe the same as the Fuji skeletons, but I haven't compared them.

Get them right to you Dave, I have no idea what the narrowed area's ID is, but I installed one on a blank with a butt diameter of 0.65 inches and it slipped completely through.

So I have not installed it yet, but I went ahead and ordered/received the American Tackle G2 grips (adjustable length casting grip). Very different from my CFX grips....seem to be the same ones used on the high end Okuma Rods. Only issue I forsee will be installing the arbors. They only come with 1 pre installed arbor and a tape arbor is recommended for the front part of the lower grip. I dont know how to pull this off though, as the butt section of the blank has a smaller diameter than what will be needed to arbor up the top section. I'm going to end up gluing in a composit arbor up front and ream to fit.
