Does anyone know where I can find a casting seat that is made with the wooden body insert non-trigger type.

Are you talking about the pipe style reel seats like the Seaguide SHS, or HDPS?

What do mean not a casting reel seat and wrong hood size? Those reel seats can be used for spinning or casting.

Glenn, wrong hood size? Or wrong barrel size? Or are you looking for a triggered fixed hood seat?

All that need is a standard casting reel seat with a wooden body with a size 16 hood and you can look at the link in the first post to get a good idea of what I am looking for. The problem with the reel seats that show in the link is that they are for spinning reels and they will not work with a casting reel.

If you don't want a trigger style seat you can use a spinning seat. There is no difference in the reel that will make any difference. They are called a spinning seat because of the style and how they are typically used, not what they will fit. I paused typing just now. I took a Abu Garcia 6500 C3 casting reel which has a rather large foot compared to some casting reels. It fit right into a Pac Bay size 16 "spinning" seat no troubles at all. A size 16 will be a size 16 any variations will be so slight it won't matter.

Now if your looking for a "casting seat" without a trigger. I am guessing you want something contoured like a casting seat with a trigger, minus the trigger, and designed to accept a tenon from the rear grip. If thats what your thinking I know of no such critter in wood or otherwise.

If you want something that looks like the seat in the link order the seat in the link it will fit ANY reel that is sized for a size 16 seat, which is probably 90 percent of all reels made.
