Well, like some of you, I've been stung. My latest build using the old bottle of Roddancer Chromaseal 2 caused my epoxy to be very lumpy ONLY in the areas where the CP was applied. In the areas that were not covered with CP, my epoxy is like glass. I don't recognize any differences of process from previous builds, but there must be something.

That bottle is going into the trash.

I decided to take a chance and bought some flex coat CP. I did the ferrule wrap with 2 coats and then finished it. It turned out real nice. The color changed just slightly but is still pretty bright and acceptable. I am using a bright red color thread and it went to a dark red but looks even better. I will see how the rest goes now. I have all the wraps done and with 2 coats of CP. Will finish them and let you know if I have an issue. Thanks for the comments!
