They also make a low frame LRV for conventional casting rods that could be used.

Chris,
I personally prefer the KWs over the MNs or LNs, even if the RV is 90* and the KWs are slanted. The KWs are just a great guide in every aspect. Hopefully Norman is still viewing your post and will afford his opinion. Maybe even Jim Isling will comment. I will continue viewing your post to learn from the veterans. I don’t build rods for tuna jigging, so I don’t really know what guides are the best for such a rod. With that said, the RV16H is a KR spinning guide and might be a little too tall, which is the reason I suggested the possible use of the LRV guides which are designed for conventional rods. Still have the same look but a lower profile and if you want you could use them as a stripper and running guides. Not sure of their heights, because there may be a typo in the Anglers Resource catalog where the LRV 10 is listed as higher than the LRV 12 which makes no sense to me.

Chris -
Yes you can use that guide for that application. While it seems high, you need a high first guide to keep the line of the tip end of your fore grip under heavy load with a parabolic jigging rod. I actually have used and really like the CLCSG20 or BLCAG20...this is a low rider surf style guide you can reverse with the single foot facing the reel. This guide is even higher than the RV16-H. In my experience you need it. You can order these directly from Angler's Research if you have an account or find them on @#$%& (most normal Fuji dealers don't stock them). Make sure you test your set up with the reel you will use with enough line off the reel to simulate the depth you will be jigging. Sometimes your set up is great with a full reel but line will hit your fore grip under heavy load at depth with 1/2 or 1/3 of the line out on that narrow spooled jigging reel. Hope this helps.
