I was applying the base coat of epoxy to prepare for a decal and the finish immediately started fish eyeing, I immediately wiped off the epoxy. I purchased some System 20 fish eye eliminator and have lightly sanded the area now how much fish eye eliminator to add to Flex Coat High Build? TIA Re: System 20 fish eye eliminator

Better bet would be to remove any silicone residue from the blank and/or your shop.

Put 2 coats of CP over your decals and you won't have that problem. Re: System 20 fish eye eliminator

Tom Harder, do you have a suggestion on how much System 20 fish eye eliminator to use? I mix 2ml harder and 2 ml of resin Flex Coat High Build. Re: System 20 fish eye eliminator

Albert,
I am surprised the bottle of System 20 did not offer suggested usage quantities. If it is anything like a similar product, “Smoothie”, a few drops per quart is all that is needed, in your case maybe just one drop. DO NOT FORGET, each and every coat of epoxy over a previous one containing the fish-eye additive will also require the additive!!! Mark Talmo FISHING IS NOT AN ESCAPE FROM LIFE BUT RATHER A DEEPER IMMERSION INTO IT!!! BUILDING YOUR OWN SIMPLY ENHANCES THE EXPERIENCE. Re: System 20 fish eye eliminator
