Alps RA7 Insert Dimensions

I was wondering if anyone had handy the insert dimensions for the Alps RA7 reel seat insert. I am currently awaiting shipment for this seat and was wanting to turn the insert while waiting. I checked their website and while it does give some of the dimensions I could not find the OD of the mortised area that slides under the threaded end of the hardware along with the length of the mortised area. I tried calling but it directed me to email and the email address came back as undeliverable so if anyone has this it would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jamie

Jamie,
Patience.
Wait until you receive the reel seat until you do any turning.

There is nothing to beat the actual object that you need to fit as compared to measurements on a sheet of paper.

Be safe

The info I got in the catalog was rosewood insert length 3.20", OD .645", ID .40". Front hood OD .840". Two different lengths when assembled it looks like depending on components.

Spencer, thanks that is the information I received when looking on their website as well. As usual, Roger is right. If I want to make sure I don't turn down too much to fit the threaded barrel I will wait till it is in hand so I can turn it to fit that specific threaded barrel.

Was just trying to get a jump as out of the blue 2 friends who have talked about having me build them a rod both decided to have it done at the same time for 3 total rods, 2 fly rods and a spinning rod. Since I have been waiting about 3 weeks for the parts to ship, still haven't, I am trying to get anything I can get done done so I can get these rods in their hands so they can enjoy them this spring/summer.

Roger thanks, needed to hear that.

Jamie

Jamie,
Since you have been waiting for the parts to ship, can you consider a different - more prompt - supplier?

Trying to show some patience because of the extraneous circumstances businesses are having to deal with right now but yes, I am considering.
