Pflueger President 30 spool diameter

Building a rod for this reel and was wondering if anybody had the spool diameter?

You can also estimate the spool dia. by using the data for line retrieved per handle revolution and reel gear ratio. Useful for comparing reels that you order (I hate small dia spools that coil the line) and for planning guide sizes when you don't have the reel in hand. Most retail sites and reel companies provide the info you need for almost any reel - if not, a couple minutes looking at different sites will provide what you need.

Example
34" per rev.
Gear ratio 5:1
pie = 3.14

(34 / 5) / 3.14= 2.17 inch spool dia

The spool diameter calculation is very clever. Thanks.

When talking spool diameter for spacing guides I think it is the outer rim diameter of the spool that is needed not the diameter where the line rests.
