Stainless spinning guides vs. hard chrome fly guides for runners?

There are a few options in stainless insert ring guides for spinning rods out there. Does anyone know if they have much advantage over a wire style single foot, hard chrome fly guide for running guides?

Both surfaces on the guides has the line running on hard chrome, other colors of rings has the coating over the chrome. Chrome is 3 times higher, more abrasion resistant, on the Vickers scale than stainless steel.

That's what I was thinking Spencer - regular single foot wire, hard chrome fly guides may work just as well and be even lighter for running guides. I'd still run a ceramic tip.

I'm not sure that the wire fly guides are actually lighter than the guides like Minimas or Fuji micros since the wire guides don't come in as small a size as the smaller Minimas and Fuji ceramic ring guides. I don't think they would be as smooth under load, especially with braid, as the Minimas or Fujis . I'll stick with the Fujis. My rods feel very sensitive, tangles are few with the tangle shedding designs of the Fuji K series guides, and the line runs smoothly through them. Corrosion is no longer even an issue worth considering.
