I've hydro dipped a reel seat. What clear finish should I use to help protect the colors? TIA Re: hydro dipping clear coat?

Hello Albert.
There is an article in RodMaker about hydro-printing, although I think it is on blanks but might help you some. It's in Vol-14 / Issue-1 / Page-22. Good Luck. Tight Wraps & Tighter Lines. Bob, New Bern, NC. Re: hydro dipping clear coat?

I don't know of any finish that will UV protect. Re: hydro dipping clear coat?

I used paint to dip the reel seats. I'm looking for something to help protect the paint from wear, not really concerned about uv. TIA Re: hydro dipping clear coat?

Clear auto finish will work and is UV tolerable, after all it is made for cars. You can get the small samples cheaper and you will have enough to do a couple of seats or more. Also if you want to paint reel seats and other components automotive paint is the way to go just get the samples otherwise it is really expensive. Look at the PPG or 3M paints but there are a lot of others. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
