Don, will these work with the Aero 17 spinning reel seat?

When will the carbon grips and the blade reel seats be available through Mudhole? I'm assuming they will have them early. Thank you.

It does not... but with a little eva and some sand paper I bet you could make a great adaptor

They should have the grips now... give them a call if not listed.

The CCT casting seats were sold out almost immediately upon arrival. We are waiting on our next shipment.. as soon as we have them we will get them sent right out to everyone that has them on order.

I've now got a G2 Razor reel seat and the G2 Carbon grip on order. I'm much more impressed with the reel seat than the grip. I'm reservedly giving the G2 carbon grip a try, simply because your system is completely integrated. I really like the CFX Carbon grips, but it's a job to machine the tenon to fit a butt cap that is different than the one foam option that's available from Fuji (my Mudhole mandrel is not close to spinning in a concentric manner). The Fuji EVA butt cap option doesn't even match the CFX grip's profile very well. I think the soft touch carbon grips from North Fork Composites has advantages. But, they don't have winding checks and other trim options available. I'm not sure I'm going to like the feel and texture of your Carbon grip, but I am looking forward to not having to bug my buddy to use his lathe to make custom parts on a poorly machined mandrel.

I have long wondered why rod component companies are so random in their parts offerings. Fuji is a giant, and you can only get a modern set of fitted components for their newer seats from Angler's Resources, a second party company. Then, you have to settle in that set for the not-so-durable Winn grips, from a now third party. Matagi has wonderful stuff, but they don't yet offer a complete set of components for the size 17 casting real seats. I applaud that American Tackle brought out a high-end product line that is complete. I can't remember the last time this occurred in the industry.
