I have installed Winn Grips on several rods over the years and they have held up well, but I have a few that are starting to show their age. They are worn and the grips have become rough. What is the best way to remove them, so I can install new grips? I am not talking about the Winn Grip overwrap, but the actual Winn Grip rear and butt grips. Thanks for any advice. I stopped using Winns just for this reason. Gonna have to tackle the same situation soon over here too. I was thinking to slice it off, remove and clean and replace butt as well. Most my rods dont have foregrips so i am lucky there. Re: Winn Grip removal

Get a section of braid and hold it between your gloved hands, and shave the grip off. It's not that hard once you get the technique down, although it's a bit hard to describe in a forum post.

At one point I did golf clubs, and the Winn Grips always had to be replaced way before other brands like Golf Pride. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
