I have only used it for trim wraps. I think it is the best metallic of current production. Only slight fault is it is not quite as bright as some other options depending on the particular color. But it is stronger and has a better surface finish than any other current production. I would not hesitate to use it for guide wraps. Still will be stingy will my stash of old Gudebrod HT metallic. The Hitena will be be close enough to use as a replacement when the time comes.

Michael, how is it for "handling?" Does it pop off the spool almost uncontrollably like some others?

Not bad overall. Like most metallic it has a bit of memory. Have not had any problems or needed to use the thread any different than any others.

Sulky metallic work very well and are durable as they run through an embroidery machine normally, they are as close as your local fabric store.
