I see Fuji has introduced a new lighter K guide recently. It looks good for inshore applications.I`m curious on why Fuji made the guide with a sloped ring. The ring leans forward, making me think that the line would touch a part of the ring periodically. Any ideas?? Re: Fuji LKW guides

The line doesn't do that. Re: Fuji LKW guides

Peter, The LKW is a K-Series guide, a family of products that offer a sloped-ring design that sheds tangles and wind knots. It was introduced just over 10 years ago and has become a top choice of rod builders worldwide. The LKW is in the family. There is no effect on line flow. Re: Fuji LKW guides

Jim, when and why would one use the LKW guides over the KW guides? I see the LKW's have a shorter footprint and a little less slope on the guide ring (70 degrees vs 77 degrees). Other than that and the frame material offered as the differences, it's just a personal preference as to when and why to use a KW vs LKW? Will the LKW guides be available in titanium framed in the future or is the Gunmetal slim SIC rings the high end for this guide? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
